Alpine skiing

In Europe, those who love snow are numerous and after a more or less long period of apprenticeship on the trails , throw themselves enthusiastically into the adventure of mountain skiing, which leads them to higher mountain passes and peaks. Abruzzo is the optimal terrain for this sport. It is good to remember, though, that alpine skiing is not to be undertaken without preparation. To be done safely and correctly, you must entrust yourself to an alpine guide or attend an organized course given by the Italian Mountain Club. Here, we list the excursions (sites) that are most interesting starting with those closest to Roccacaramanico.

Monte Amaro  - The highest peak of the Maiella which can be reached from Caramanico Terme by Monte Rapina or by Lama Dei Peligni by the valley of Taranta.
